Uncle Jeff and Auntie Angie Visit

We were so lucky to have Jeff and Angie come and visit us in Boise this year.  The boys were especially looking forward to Jeff coming because this year the boys were going on a backpacking trip while the girls did some fun things in the city.  It was truly a visit where many memories were made :)

Ryan, Brandon, Nate, and Jeff headed off to The Frank Church Wilderness of No Return on Thursday.  They hiked 6 miles into the woods to the perfect "Big Hole" camping spot that Nate and his family and friends have fished at for years.  The boys had to pack in all their supplies: tent, sleeping bags, food (M.R.E.'s), water, and fishing poles.  They stayed until Saturday morning and then hiked back out and came home.  The boys were full of stories about fishing, swimming, eating the "AMAZING" food, and catching the BIGGEST FISH EVER!!

While the boys were off camping, Angie, Brooklyn, and I spent our days going to the zoo, exploring "Kid'n Around", and checking out the Boise Market.

On Sunday, we took a 12 mile bike ride on the Greenbelt and had lunch along the way.  The boys spent some time at the BMX park and we stopped to watch the Kayakers on the Boise River.  It was perfect weather and a great day.

Summer 2013

We were able to enjoy several weekends up at the cabin this summer.  The boys improved their skiing skills and worked on riding harder dirt bike trails.  With the new fishing reels that Grandma Mona and Papa Kevin got the boys, they were able to catch some bass off the dock at Steve and Ad's cabin.

We had passes to Roaring Springs this summer so on Wednesdays when Brooklyn was at Grandma Connie's house, the boys and I would head to the waterpark.

The boys enjoyed our new trampoline in the backyard. . .Brandon has become a "back-flip champ" while Ryan has decided he doesn't want to break his neck.  Both of the boys have mastered front flips and enjoy playing all sorts of games outside.

We visited the zoo, played with friends, and rode our bikes.  This summer was all about soaking up the sun and new adventures.
