Summer at the Cabin. . . .

Well, this summer the Lowry family is trying out a new cabin.  Over Memorial Day weekend, Nate and the boys headed up to Donnelly to help move things from the old cabin on Birch into the new place on Hereford.  (Brooklyn and I stayed in Boise since we were both sick.)  They worked very hard all weekend, but when the boys came home they were SO excited to tell me about the new place.

We were finally able to go back up to Donnelly the second weekend of June.  I am totally in love with the new place.  Not only does our family have a room inside the house (we were living in a tent trailer at the old place), but there are two bathrooms, a bigger kitchen, and it's really close to the water.  There is also a huge shop on the property and a small workshop that could be converted into a guest house.

This could be a great fit for our family so we'll have to wait and see if it's meant to be or not, but we are definitely enjoying the space while we have it.

During this trip, we discovered that all the kids have terrible seasonal allergies.  The pine dust is so bad at the cabin that it coats everything.  It's supposed to blow away and clear up by the 4th of July, but right now everyone is on Claritin or Zyrtec and we had to take Brooklyn into the doctor once we got back to Boise because her eyes swelled so much she only had little tiny slits she could see out of.  The doctor told me what allergy medicine she could have so hopefully we'll be good to go for the 4th of July.
